Winter/Spring 2010 Recreator Now Online

Santa & Mrs. Claus Visit Greenfield City Hall

Santa and Mrs. Claus took time out of their busy schedules to spend time with the children of Greenfield and formally light the Holiday tree located in the rotunda of City Hall on Saturday, December 12th. Over 140 people attended the sold out brunch with Santa sponsored by the Greenfield Parks and Recreation Department. Festivities included cookies and hot chocolate, music by the Greenfield High School Choir and pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus in gingerbread land.
Tax Bills Mailed
Real estate and personal property tax bills were mailed Fri., Dec. 11th. Tax data for 2009 has also been uploaded to the Web and can be found by clicking on the "Property & Tax Data" tab at the top left of this page.
Greenfield Library Board Holiday Cookie Sale A Success
The Greenfield Public Library Board hosted its first annual Community Holiday Cookie Sale on Saturday, December 5th at the Greenfield Public Library and featured holiday music, creative gift wrapping ideas, quick do-it-yourself gift demonstrations, and holiday storytelling for children. The Library Board volunteers raised over $750 at this event and has a goal of $1,000 for next year. 2010 Foundation fundraising efforts will go towards the Children's Library collections and youth programs.

Brownie Troop Visits City Hall To Earn Scout Patch
Mayor Neitzke had the pleasure of meeting, answering questions from, and providing a tour to Brownie Troop 1187 at Greenfield City Hall on December 3, 2009 to fulfill the last requirement towards earning the Ms. President Patch developed by the White House Project. The White House Project, an organization that is changing the way people think about women in leadership roles, worked with Girl Scouts of the USA to develop the Ms. President Patch. The patch celebrates those women who have paved the way in social and political reform, as well as to learn about those who are on the front lines of government today. Police Officer Recognized For 15 Years Of Service

Recently, Mayor Neitzke proudly recognized Officer Ray Radkovich for 15 years of service with the Greenfield Police Department. After less than 2 years on the job, Radakovich became a member of the SWAT Team. In 2006, he was promoted to Sgt. of the early shift. On hand at the recognition, from left to right, were Lt. Martin, Inspector Wildish, Sgt. Brunner, Mayor Neitzke, Sgt. Radokovich, and Chief Springob.
Health Dept. Announces Next Round of H1N1 Vaccine Clinics
The Greenfield Health Department will hold four H1N1 Influenza vaccination clinics in December. The Greenfield Health Department continues to receive additional allocations of H1N1 Influenza vaccine and will continue vaccination efforts in the coming weeks. These clinics are intended for individuals of all ages, with a preference for those in the current Wisconsin Division of Public Health target groups (as of 11/24/09): · Pregnant women · Household contacts of children less than 6 months · Healthcare and emergency medical response workers with direct patient contact · Children between 6 months – 24 years old · Adults between 25 – 64 years with chronic medical conditions The Greenfield Health Department has both intranasal and injectable H1N1 Influenza vaccines in adequate supply to meet the anticipated demand. The type of vaccine will be allocated based on each individual’s age, medical condition, and medical risk factors. Furlough Updates: City Hall/DPW and Library Closing Dates
In an effort to reduce costs, all offices in Greenfield City Hall and the Department of Public Works will be closed on Monday, November 30th. In addition, the Parks & Recreation Department will be closed on Wednesday, November 25th. The Greenfield Public Library will be closed:
