Canine handlers maintain membership in the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Canine Handler Association (WLECHA). This statewide organization promotes the training and advancement of the police canine resource. Sergeant Johnson, Officer Wallander and Officer West hold elected positions within the organization. All of the canines have been certified by the North American Police Work Dog Association. This nationwide organization is dedicated to assisting police work dog teams throughout the world with training and certification.
The Greenfield Police Department Canine Unit continues to be recognized as one of the premier canine teams in the Midwest.
