Seasonal workers are hired primarily by our Parks and Recreation Department for a limited period of time to work in City park and recreational facilities. The Division of Public Works hires individuals 18 and over during summer months. Applications for Firefighter and Police Officer are only accepted when an eligibility list is being established. When vacancies occur, candidates are drawn from that list. Eligibility lists are developed on a periodic basis, as the need arises.
