Veterans Memorial at Bicentennial Park

Veterans Memorial

The City of Greenfield is pleased to announce that with generous funding by The Dan Jansen Family Fest, Inc. there will be a new Veterans Memorial in Bicentennial Park at 5310 W. Layton Ave. A rendering of the planned layout is below. The installation should be complete by Spring 2024. As part of the memorial there will be a black granite monument which will feature the engraved names of brave men and women who have honorably served in the United States Military. (A representative photo is above. Finished monument may look different.)

HERE IS HOW A VETERAN CAN BECOME FOREVER MEMORIALIZED IN GREENFIELD:
Veterans can be added to Greenfield’s honor roll of veterans if they have either been honorably discharged or are still actively serving and earned veteran status. In addition, one of the following requirements must be met:

  1. The veteran resides in Greenfield now, or did at some point in their life.
  2. A current Greenfield resident can place an order on behalf of a family member, friend, or a loved one who has earned veteran status.

Qualifying orders can be placed by completing the Names Monument Order Form below and returning it with payment to Greenfield Parks & Recreation Department by February 14, 2024. After this initial offering, the price per name will increase and engraving will be done once a year.
