- National Night Out
Due to safety concerns from the Covid-19 pandemic, this years National Night Out will unfortunately be cancelled.
This decision did not come lightly as we look forward to putting on this event each year and continuing to build on our strong police-community partnerships. At the end of the day, the health, safety and overall welfare of our community is of the utmost importance.
Traditionally, we always host the National Night Out on the first Tuesday in August. This year the date was temporarily changed to October 6, 2020. Since we will not have a centralized event we are encouraging Greenfield neighborhoods to host their own smaller block parties or family get-togethers on October 6, 2020. The Greenfield Police and Fire Departments would like to visit as many of these gatherings as we can, so we can still celebrate the National Night Out and interact with the community in a safer environment.
If you wish to plan such an event please keep some safety guidelines in mind:
If you would like the Greenfield Police and Fire Departments to stop out at your gatherings on October 6, 2020, please contact Sergeant Daniel Orlowski at Daniel.Orlowski@gfpd.org or call 414-761-5300 for more information. Thank you very much and we hope to see you then.
