Assistant Chief Eric Lindstrom began his career with the Greenfield Police Department in 2003. He served as a field training officer, K9 handler, SWAT team member and is certified to instruct multiple disciplines. He was promoted to patrol sergeant in 2015 and detective sergeant in 2017. After getting promoted to Captain in 2018, he became the tactical commander in charge of tactical response during critical incidents. Since 2020, Assistant Chief Lindstrom has also served as the team commander for the Milwaukee Area Investigative Team in which he oversees operations and investigations into officer involved deaths.
Assistant Chief Lindstrom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. He is a graduate of the Wisconsin Command College, which earns him the designation of Certified Public Manager through the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Assistant Chief Lindstrom has completed the International Association of Chiefs of Police – Leadership in Police Organizations program and sits on the board of directors for the Wisconsin Command College Alumni Association. He has also completed the FBI National Academy’s Leadership Certification program and attended the Homeland Security’s Leadership Academy.
